| Description | This article describes an alternative to set FortiFones' time according to local Daylight Saving time in a centralized manner. |
| Scope | FortiVoice, FortiFone. |
| Solution |
From the FortiFone is possible to adjust the time using the LCD Menu: Setting -> Preference -> Date & Time and 'DST enabled'.
Another alternative is set from FortiVoice, at the phone profile: Phone System -> Profile -> Phone. Adjust 'DST type' to 'Automatic' (This option is not applied to all models).
A different scalable way to adjust DST time in FortiFones is to use an NTP server from which all FortiFones get the time: System -> Configuration -> Time and select 'Synchronize with NTP Server'. Input the IP address of the NTP server.
It is recommended that the NTP server have the correct time according to FortiFones' zone location.
Note: Menus and settings can vary by FortiFone model and firmware version used. |
