Description | This article describes how to solve the issue when the PIN is asked twice for FortiFone Softphone user. |
Scope | FortiVoice v7.0.2. |
Solution |
When making a call and the PIN code is asked twice, a probable cause can be that the outgoing call failed to match the first trunk and then goes to the second trunk where also PIN code is also asked due to ongoing call rights (no trunk itself).
In this scenario, an ext makes an outgoing call and fails first to match the 'Amplia_Sip' trunk and goes to the second trunk available which is 'gateway_PRI'.
This behavior is because any outgoing call goes to the first trunk by rule match and if that first is unavailable, the call goes to the second trunk.
workaround: Move the trunk order, the one that is available at the top, and the PIN code is only asked one time. The trunk order and status in outbound rule and such first trunk match is Available/UP state. |
