This article describes how to configure FortiSwitch PoE port when there are IP Phones with Expansion Modules. |

FortiOS 6.4 to 7.4 FortiSwitch managed by FortiGate or Standalone Switch. |
| Solution |
There are some situations when it is necessary to use IP Phones from any other brand and sometimes the Phone includes Expansion Modules as soon as the Expansion Module is connnected to the Phone and the Phone to the PoE Switch port this Expansion Module does not turn on.
For Example, some Cisco IP Phones with Expansion Modules do not turn on with a normal Switch port configuration, as soon as the correct lldp profile is configured and is assigned to the Forti Switch port the module is turned on and connected to the IP Phone.

Create the LLDP profile:

Assign the LLDP profile to the Switch port:
