Description This article describes how to resolve 'FDN connection or download failure'.

  1. Go under System -> FortiGuard -> FortiGuard Server Settings.
  2. Select the check box and use the override FDN server to download module updates (IP or FQDN).

  1. Use putty to SSH into the FortiSandbox Console:
  2. Perform the CLI command:

  1. Make sure the FortiSandbox can reach out to the FDN service, refer to the Access_Control_List table for the default servers and ports used.
  2. Perform the CLI command:

 

diagnose-debug fdn

  1. Notice that the FortiSandbox is reaching out to the FortiGuard server for an update.

  1. Check again on the webUI and make sure the Status is showing Already Up-to-date or Successful with the latest update time.
