Description This article describes how to resize the disk on the FortiSandbox-VM version
Scope FortiSandbox v3.x and v4.x.
Solution

FortiSandbox-VM template comes with a default disk size of 194 GB. Changing the Disk size from Hypervisor will not take effect it immediately. It is necessary to execute 'resize-hd' command from Fortisandbox CLI in order to use the full capacity.

Tips:
Create snapshot from Hypervisor before running 'resize-hd' command.

 

Procedure:

  1. Create a snapshot from hypervisor / ESXI (optional, but recommended).
  2. Open the console/terminal to the VM from the hypervisor.
  3. Login to Fortisandbox from the Hypervisor console/terminal.
  4. Execute 'resize-hd' command, and press enter.


Request to resize hard disk. Resizing will be done during next bootup.
Do you want to continue? (y/n)y
Request has been accepted.
Reboot?
Do you want to continue? (y/n)y

 

     5. Monitor the reboot process.

     6. After boot-up is completed, verify using these 2 commands:

 

hardware-info
status

 

All of the disk space configured from the hypervisor can be utilized after bootup complete
