Technical Tip: How to RDP to Custom VM of FortiSandbox GCP to verify the Internet Connection

Description	This article describes how to RDP to the Custom VM of FortiSandbox GCP to verify the Internet Connection.
Scope	FortiSandbox.
Solution	In the FortiSandbox Admin GUI, navigate to Scan Job -> File On-demand. Submit a new file to FortiSandbox on-demand scan. Follow the steps below and configure the settings as per the screenshot below. Make sure to upload one file and enable the option 'Allow Interaction'. Select 'Submit' to continue. Wait for a while and the submitted file is listed below: Go to Scan Policy and Object -> VM settings, and select the Custom VM that selected when submitting the on-demand scan just now. In this case, the custom VM is 'PrebuiltWin10'. Select the Custom VM and select the 'VM Screenshot'. A small window will pop out, select the monitor icon below the Interaction. Select the button 'Establish a Tunnel for Remote Desktop'. RDP to the Custom VM using the provided information from the above screenshot. The RDP username is 'administrator' and the password is the name of the Custom VM Clone get from the GCP console. refer to the below screenshot. Take note that the password will always change every time the Custom VM clone is initialized. When successfully connected to the Custom VM Clone using the RDP, it is possible to open the command prompt to do a ping test to verify the internet connection. When finishing the test, select the Yes button like the screenshot below to start the file scanning. Close the RDP connection. Select the button 'Terminate the Tunnel' to terminate the tunnel.
