This article describes how to backup and restore allowlist/blocklist, this procedure can be useful on an upgrade firmware or replacing FortiSandbox appliance model.

Backup allowlist/blocklist can be useful during an upgrade to firmware or replacing the FortiSandbox model.
Open FortiSandbox GUI console:
Go to 'Scan policy and Object' and select 'allowlist/blocklist'.
Select the option icon, and select 'Manage lists by uploading file.
To create a backup, choose the type required (md5, sha1, sha256, Domain, URL, URL REGEX) and select 'Download'. A text file will be created. This file can be used to restore the allowlist/blocklist to the new FortiSandbox.
Go to the new FortiSandbox GUI console, select 'Scan policy and Object', and select 'allowlist/blocklist'.
Open the drop-down menu, then select 'Manage lists by uploading file':

In order to restore or import, choose the required type (md5, sha1, sha256, Domain, URL, URL REGEX) and select 'Append or replace'.
