Troubleshooting Tip: How to configure Gmail as the email server in FortiSIEM using basic authentication

Description	This article describes how to configure Gmail as the email server in FortiSIEM using basic authentication for sending email notifications.
Scope	FortiSIEM.
Solution	Go to under ADMIN -> Settings -> System -> Email and enter the settings as follows, changing the Server Account ID according to the proper Gmail account: Email Gateway Server: smtp.gmail.com Server Port: 587 Secure Connection (TLS): Enabled Server Account ID: username@gmail.com Default Email Sender: username@gmail.com Authentication: Basic Account Password: Configure the Gmail account to authenticate using an App Password, which is a 16-digit passcode and should be used as the Account Password.
