Description This article describes how to resolve issues when the dashboard transfer option is unavailable.
Scope FortiSIEM.
Solution

When attempting to transfer ownership of a dashboard under ADMIN -> Settings -> System -> Dashboard Ownership, the list of users to transfer to is blank, or the transfer action is greyed out.

 

This issue typically occurs due to insufficient role privileges of the target user. This prevents administrators from transferring dashboard ownership as expected.

Workaround:

  1. Navigate to FortiSIEM GUI -> CMDB -> Users.
  2. Compare the role of the current dashboard owner and the intended target user.
  3. Ensure the target user has the same role permissions as the current owner. If necessary, assign full admin privileges to the target user.
  4. After updating the user role, the transfer option will be available. Return to ADMIN -> Settings -> System -> Dashboard Ownership to complete the ownership transfer successfully.
