As described below in the email notification sent by AWS, older images will no longer be offered to AWS users:
The AWS console has offered the option to install older images via Amazon Machine Images (AMIs) however, now, once the subscriptions are successful, the version field will display just the latest ones:
The describe-images command has been used to query and retrieve the list of all the images available, including public and private, and the output is used to list several images from the newest to the oldest. Below is shown the current output through the CloudShell interface, basically the same as the EC2 console:
