User Timeout
I am using version 7.2.0 and I cannot change the timeout time of the user I created before we could change this situation. Has anyone encountered this?

Hi @adem_netsys ,
The time out from 7.2.0 is hardcoded and cannot change. More details here
https://help.fortinet.com/fsiem/7-2-0/Online-Help/HTML5_Help/Adding_users.htm
Click on the FortiSIEM Attributes tab.
- For User Unlock, select Unlock by Administrator or Delay next login for x minutes. If Delay next login for x minutes is selected, enter the number of minutes the user will be unable to log into the system after five successive authentication failures.
- For Idle Timeout, enter the number of minutes after which an inactive user will be logged out.
Note: By design, this is currently disabled, and cannot be edited.

S

Hi @adem_netsys ,
Lockout duration is stored in ph_user table -> lockout_duration of psql. I have not tried modification and not sure if any change will cause operational issues.

Hi all,
Just as a dirty workaround: As the session timeout with different browser windows should be fixed in v7.2: On our big screens, the session is kept alive if a dashboard is opened in any browser tab ;)
The timeout will then only happen at midnight (if you don't use a slideshow).
Best,
Christian
