Description This article describes the consequences of deleting a FortiSASE instance.
Scope

FortiSASE version:

24.3.20 (24.3.a)
24.2.63 (24.2.c)
24.2.44 (24.2.b)
24.2.12 (24.2.a)
24.1.56 (24.1.c)

Solution

For different reasons (such as implementing and moving to another region), the customer may want to delete the FortiSASE instance.

Deleting a customer instance is an action that cannot be undone and will result in irrevocable data loss for all components. The customer will need to provision from scratch as a new instance.

As of today, Fortinet does not offer any retention or capability to restore customer configuration after tenant deletion.

The customer has to sign off that they understand that all configurations will be lost and will need to be re-entered via API or the FortiSASE UI.

For deleting a FortiSASE instance, open a case to the Fortinet TAC support and acknowledge the information in this article.
