Description This article describes that after the firmware upgrade of FortiProxy from v2.0.12 to v7.0.19, the FortiProxy keeps rebooting repeatedly.
Scope FortiProxy.
Solution
  1. Connect a Laptop to the FortiProxy with the serial console and the serial console output shows the FortiProxy repeatedly reboots by itself after the upgrade.

 

The sample log shows below:

  1. The cause is related to the config system auto-script. Remove the below sample system auto-script from the config file before proceeding with the upgrade. Do not repeat the configuration or configure the same auto script after the upgrade is successful.

  1. The above auto script is not designed to perform an auto-reboot of the device. Use the following KB article to set up FortiProxy to reboot daily or specific time if needed:Technical Tip: Configure FortiGate to restart (reboot) daily
