This article describes how to upload an extension license to FortiPAM when a license is already active.

Solution
By default, an extension license is activated on FortiPAM when the current license expires.
For example, if the current license includes 5 users, and a new extension license for 20 users has been registered on the support portal, FortiPAM will only show the five licensed user limit. The 20 user license will apply once the license for 5 users expires.
If there is a need to accelerate the process and apply the new extension license before the expiration of the current license then Customer Service needs to be contacted. Fortinet Customer Service can cancel the old contract early and ensure the new contract will be immediately effective.
