Solution

This article provides a solution to the issue of importing a bulk CSV Secret list into FortiPAM. When the wrong template and information have been used, the following error is observed:

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Config the correct template for the target list. When using the Windows Machine template, the Domain attribute should not be filled in.
  2. Check the CSV file for any duplicate addresses. If there are duplicates, remove them before importing the list.
  3. Go in the FortiPAM GUI to Secrets -> Secrets and select the Upload button in the top-right corner.
  4. Upload the revised CSV file and select the correct template.
  5. If issues persist, refer to the FortiPAM Administrator Guide for more information on uploading secrets using the secret upload template.
