Description This article describes how to expand existing disk space in FortiPAM via CLI.
Scope FortiPAM.
Solution

In FortiPAM-VM, there are 3 disks:

  1. For the system.
  2. For the log.
  3. For video.

Check this document for the disk function: Configure FortiPAM-VM hardware settings

After running, video disk space may not be big enough, and needs to be expanded. Here is the solution for expanding the existing disk via CLI.

In this example, the existing disk space is 20G, increase it to 40G.

  1. Check the disk space:

  1. Increase disk space via KVM. Shutdown the FortiPAM first, and resize it via KVM management system:

  1. Show the disk space: After powering on, the disk space shows the increase to 40G, but the partition still shows 20G:

  • The format reference number is DISK ref(32), not partition ref(33).
  • The format will erase all data on it.
