This article describes the behavior where the following error is displayed during an upgrade:
--- Upgrading to this release requires a FortiNAC License. The install process will exit now. Please contact your Support representative for assistance. ---
If this error is displayed, the appliance has an older key.

Solution |
Customers with a FortiCare account and appliance support coverage can download a new key from the Customer Support Portal at:
Important:
- Download using the 'Get the License Key File' link next to 'FortiNAC License File Download'. - Ensure the correct UUID and eth0 MAC address of the appliance are reflected in the product record. - For details on how to obtain UUID/MAC information and download the new keys, see the 'Update Keys Due to UUID/MAC Change' section in the License Upgrade Guide.
