Description
This article describes how to handle 'MAC change on uplink' events being generated each time a MAC Notification trap is received for a port defined as an uplink in the switch's Port View of the Administration UI. Although traps for uplinks are not acted upon, they cause extra work for the appliance.

Solution
Disable MAC Notification traps in the switch for uplink ports. Refer to the MAC Notification trap reference manual in the Document Library.
