Description This article describes the case when guests registering via the Self-Registration Login portal are receiving an error 'The input is required' after requesting guest access.  

The issue occurs when there is no Message template selected in Portal -> Portal configuration -> Registration -> Self Registration Login.
Scope FortiNAC v9.4.
Solution
  1. In the FortiNAC Admin UI, navigate to System -> Settings -> System Communication -> Email/SMS Message Template.
  2. Create the following templates:


Guest Account Details.
Self-Registration Request.
Guest Account Password.


     3. Once the message template has been created, navigate to Portal -> Portal configuration -> Registration -> Self Registration Login.

Select the applicable Message template to be used for the Guest Details Message Template, Guest Password Message Template, and Message Template.

Note:

The issue can be fixed also by upgrading the FortiNAC to v7.4.0, v7.2.4, v9.4.4, and above.
