Description This article describes how to edit the Persistent Agent MSI package via the Microsoft Orca tool so that it can be deployed without requiring additional registry key changing via GPO.
Scope FortiNAC, FortiNAC-F.
Solution
  1. Install Microsoft Orca by following the below guide:

  1. Download the Persistent Agent MSI package on the local PC.

  2. Open the MSI package via Orca.

  1. Type FortiNAC FQDN in the homeServer field.

  2. Save the MSI.

  3. Install the MSI package on a test PC and confirm if the homeServer registry entry has the FQDN.

Note: During the Persistent Agent server discovery process, the highest priority belongs to the SRV record/query. If the Persistent Agent can get a response to one of the below SRV queries, firstly the Persistent Agent will establish a connection with A record that returns against the SRV record.
