Description
This article describes that the management of Aerohive wireless connections ceased working with Aerohive version 6.6r1 firmware versions. The appropriate VLAN in the RADIUS Accept is returned to Aerohive, however, Aerohive is not honoring the response and assigning the host to its default VLAN.
Aerohive has acknowledged an issue related to user profile assignments based on the returned attribute.

Solution

Once upgraded, access Hive Manager and ensure the User Profile Application Sequence is in the order of:
SSID, MAC Authentication, Captive Web Portal.
As of this writing, this setting was accessed by navigating to:
SSID settings > optional settings -> Choose User Profile Application Sequence in Hive Manager.
