Troubleshooting Tip: Hardware Migration does not complete on appliances with two ports

Description

This article describes the behavior where hardware migrations do not successfully complete when the FortiNAC server only has two Ethernet ports.
Scope 2 ports FortiNAC FNC-CA-600C Gen2 hardware appliances.
Solution

An older generation of FortiNAC server model FNC-CA-600C shipped with only two Ethernet ports. It has been found that the tool used to perform the hardware migration is unable to configure the port 1 interface on these servers.

 

**Do not attempt to perform the migration on these servers at this time**

 

To determine the number of Ethernet ports, log in to the CLI as root and type:


sysinfo -v

 

To be addressed in upcoming FortiNAC versions F7.2.10, F7.4.2 & F7.6.3.
