Description This article describes how to generate system events for any result during a database synchronization of a FortiNAC-F HA.
Scope

FNAC-F 7.2.X, 7.4.X, 7.6.X.

FNAC 9.4.X.

Solution

Sometimes, issues occur where FortiNAC administrators are not aware that a FortiNAC HA is out of sync, which could impact the production during the failover event. To avoid these circumstances, it is suggested to verify if the FortiNAC-F's system events related to 'Database Replication' are enabled, which are triggered once the event happens.

Steps to verify the status of 'Database Replication' events:

  1. Go to the FortiNAC GUI -> Logs -> Events & Alarms -> On the right top side, select the 'Management' button.
  2. Search for 'Database Replication', and verify the statuses:

  1. If the 'Database Replication Error' is disabled, right-click on it, and select one of the desired logging methods: 'Log Internal', 'Log External', or 'Log Internal & External':
