Description

 

This article describes how to troubleshoot when it is not possible to select Setup Firmware Upgrade in FortiManager under Device Manager. The selection is under Device Manager -> Device & Groups -> Select FortiGate device -> Right Click -> Firmware Upgrade.

Solution

 

Confirm that the FortiGate license information is getting the update from the FortiGuard server. From the GUI, this can be observed under FortiGuard -> Device Licenses.

From CLI,  get the latest information as per the below command, and confirm Firmware & General Updates (FMWR) are not expired:

Make sure no schedule upgrade has been set up, or cancel and proceed with a manual upgrade.
