Description

This article describes how to troubleshoot when having issues with pushing Administrative Access VLAN interface configurations to managed FortiGate from FortiManager.

Scope FortiManager.
Solution

Users may encounter an issue in FortiManager where Administrative Access settings for VLAN interface(s) cannot be pushed to managed FortiGate(s).

 

The following is one of the scenarios for this issue:

  1. User edits the Administrative Access for the VLAN interface from the Device DB: Device Manager -> Device & Groups -> FortiGate -> Network: Interfaces and edits the VLAN

  1. The user performs the Installation; however, the Installation Logs show that nothing was installed:

For such cases, the VLAN interface(s) are most likely configured under the FortiSwitch Manager. Therefore, to configure the Administrative Access for the interfaces, users need to go to the correct page: FortiSwitch Manager -> FortiSwitch VLANs and edit the VLAN.

Once the changes have been saved, perform another Installation and it should show the correct configurations being pushed:
