Creating a new SSID object in FortiManager will automatically create a normalized interface for the SSID in Policy & Objects:
The new normalized interface will have a description added to show that it was created by the AP Manager. There are cases where the SSID object cannot be deleted, even though nothing is shown when checking 'Where used':
In the latest versions (v7.2.7, v7.4.3, v7.6.0), the GUI will display where the SSID's normalized interface is being referenced from in Policy & Objects:
In this case, the SSID's normalized interface is being referenced by an interface-subnet address object:
To delete the SSID object from the AP Manager, unbind the SSID's normalized interface from the address object; the SSID object in the AP Manager should be able to be deleted after that:
