Troubleshooting Tip: FortiManager cannot add certain FortiGate models

Description	This article describes how to troubleshoot the issue where FortiManager cannot add certain FortiGate models.
Scope	The below units are used in the scenarios: FortiManager v7.2.0, FortiManager v7.2.4 and FortiGate-600F
Solution	Always refer to the compatibility between FortiManager and FortiOS: Compatibility with FortiOS After that refer to FortiManager release notes. FortiGate-600F cannot be added to FortiManager v7.2.0, FortiGate-600F can ping and telnet port 541. Run CLI command: 'diagnose dvm supported-platforms list': FortiGate-600F can be added to FortiManager v7.2.4. Run CLI command: 'diagnose dvm supported-platforms list': Always refer to the release to check the supported FortiGate model list: FortiGate models inside FortiManager v7.2.0 release notes, do not mention FortiGate-600F inside the supported model list. For version 7.2.4: FortiGate models: FortiManager v7.2.4 release notes have mentioned FortiGate-600F inside the supported model list: FortiGate can reach FortiManager and telnet port 541 but cannot add it to FortiManager. It can be due to the current FortiManager version which does not support the FortiGate models.
