Description This article describes how to troubleshoot when FortiManager AP Manager's Operation Profiles do not match FortiGate's FortiAP Profiles.
Scope FortiManager.
Solution
  1. Check the AP profiles settings between FortiManager and FortiGate:
  • At FortiManager, go to AP Manager -> Operations Profiles and edit the selected Operations Profiles
  • At FortiGate, go to WiFi Controller -> FortiAP Profiles and edit the selected FortiAP Profiles.

 

After confirming FortiManager does not have the latest Operations Profiles information, below are the options that can be performed:

 

Option 1:

At FortiManager, go to AP Manager -> Operations Profiles and select More and select Import.

 

Option 2:

  1. At FortiGate, go to WiFi Controller -> FortiAP Profiles, edit the selected FortiAP Profiles, and select 'Edit' in CLI.
  2. Copy the FortiGate CLI syntax.
  3. At FortiManager, go to Device Manager -> Provisioning Templates -> CLI, select 'Create a new CLI Template' and paste the copied FortiGate CLI syntax.
  4. At FortiManager, assign the created CLI template to FortiGate.
