Description This article describes how to use the FortiManager GUI to install a certificate on a FortiGate and then configure the FortiGate to use that certificate for admin GUI access.
Scope FortiManager.
Solution

This article assumes that a certificate has been created and is either a PKCS#12 file or PEM files, which contain both the certificate and the private key.

  1. Navigate to Device & Groups, and select the FortiGate that the certificate will be installed on.
  2. Navigate to System -> Certificates (if this is not visible, enable it in Feature Visibility).
  3. Select Import -> Local Certificates.

  4. For PKCS#12, choose PKCS#12 Certificate and add the PKCS#12 file.  For PEM format, choose Certificate and add the key and certificate files.  If there is a password, include that in the Password field

  5. Select OK to import the certificate.

  6. Navigate to System -> Settings -> Administration Settings -> HTTPS Server Certificate and select the imported certificate.

  7. Install device settings on the FortiGate to push the certificate and configuration changes.
