FortiManager allows the fine-tuning of admin privileges, which include the right to delete a device's revision entry. To prevent accidental deletion of a revision entry, 'Delete Device Revision' can be set to Read-Only in an admin profile:
An admin assigned with the admin profile will not be able to delete a past revision entry for any managed FortiGate devices in Device Manager (the delete option will be greyed out):
