Technical Tip: How to migrate FortiManager Cloud to FortiFlex license.

Description	This article describes how to migrate FortiManager Cloud license to FortiFlex license.
Scope	FortiManager Cloud.
Solution	If a new Flex-VM license for FortiManager Cloud is purchased, the existing regular FortiManager Cloud license remains active by default. To switch to the Flex-VM license, the Serial Number of the Flex license must first be set on the FortiManager. This Serial Number is then propagated to all FortiGates currently registered in that FortiManager. Execute the following command on the FortiManager: execute fgfm migrate-license <new-sn> Verify that the FortiGate recognizes both Serial Numbers (regular FortiManager Cloud and Flex-VM) by running: show system central-management Next, open a technical support ticket (Technical Tip: How to create a ticket for Fortinet TAC) to request a transition from the regular FortiManager Cloud license to the FortiManager Cloud Flex-VM license, providing both serial numbers for reference. Once the transfer is complete, FortiManager Cloud reboots and the new Flex-VM Serial Number appears in the System Information Widget. If FortiGates experience connectivity issues to the FortiManager, run the following command to unregister the old serial: execute central-mgmt unregister <Old-FortiManager-Serial> After waiting a few minutes, attempt to register to the new Flex-VM Serial: execute central-management register <Flex-VM-FortiManager-Serial> fortinet If the issue persists, enable the central-management connector within the FortiGate GUI. In cases where the 'FortiManager Cloud' option is greyed out under the central-management connector, refer to Technical Tip: FortiGate 'FortiManager Cloud' option is greyed out.
