Description

This article describes how to convert FortiManager HA Manual mode to standalone mode.

Scope FortiManager.
Solution

Here are the Steps to convert FortiManager HA Manual mode to standalone mode.

 

Step 1: Take a backup configuration of FortiManager Primary:

  1. Go to the Dashboard, find the System Information widget.
  2. Select the backup icon next to System Configuration.
  3. Choose Backup Now.

Navigate to FortiManager GUI -> System Settings -> HA.

Choose Operation Mode -> standalone and select Apply.

 

Step 2: Take a backup configuration of FortiManager Secondary.

  1. Go to the Dashboard, find the System Information widget.
  2. Select the backup icon next to System Configuration.
  3. Choose Backup Now.

Navigate to FortiManager GUI -> System Settings -> HA.

Choose Operation Mode -> standalone and select 'Apply'.

Once step 1 and step 2 are completed, verify FortiManager in standalone mode by running the command below in the CLI:

 

get system status

This can be done from CLI if the GUI is not able to be accessed from both devices.

 

config system ha

    set mode standalone

end
