Description This article describes how to use FortiManager to provide a FortiGuard license and updates to FortiMail.
Scope FortiManager/FortiMail.
Solution

Configuration on the FortiManager:

 

  1. Enable the Administrative Domain setting under the Dashboard Settings:

 

1. FMG enable ADOM setting.png

 

  1. Under the Network Interface settings, enable the FortiGuard Updates and Web Filtering Services on the interface.

 

2. Enable Service Access.png

 

  1. Under the FortiGuard Settings, enable Antivirus and IPS Service for FortiMail.

 

3. Enable FML version in FGD Settings.png

 

 Configuration on the FortiMail:

 

  1. Navigate to the Advanced View in the top-right corner.

  1. Under System -> FortiGuard -> Antivirus, enable the override server and specify the FortiManager’s IP Address.

  1. Under System -> FortiGuard -> AntiSpam, enable the override server and specify the FortiManager’s IP Address.

  1. Check the FortiGuard Service Status after the configuration and verify that the service is reachable.

Perform debugging to run FortiManager and FortiMail to check if it was successful.
