Description

This article describes how to back up HA logs in FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer to an external server.

Scope FortiManager, and FortiAnalyzer.
Solution
  1. Starting from FortiManager/FortiAnalyzer v7.2.10, v7.4.6, and v7.6.2, the user will be able to back up HA logs to an external server with the below CLI command.

 

execute backup ha {ftp | scp | sftp} <ip> <directory> <username> <password>

 

  1. Additionally, the user may also run the below troubleshooting commands on all HA units to capture the relevant HA-related debug output:


get system ha

diagnose ha status

diagnose ha stats

diagnose ha dump-datalog
diagnose ha force-resync

 

diagnose test application clusterd 97 status
diagnose test application clusterd 97 peer-status
diagnose test application clusterd 97 ask-sync
diagnose test application clusterd 97 restart-init-sync
