Description | The article describes how to assign a provisioning template via ZTP in FortiManager. |
Scope | FortiManager, FortiGate. |
Solution |
1) Create a Model Device in FortiManager for the FortiGate to be onboarded to FMG via ZTP.
2) For this demonstration, a default provisioning template will be created and assigned to the Model Device by updating the DNS entries.
3) Proceed to create the model device via Add Device -> Add Model Device and assign the system template.
4) Once the FortiGate boots from factory reset, the ZTP process will commence in FortiManager with the auto-link and config push tasks being started automatically as seen in Task Monitor.
5) Once the ZTP process completes, it is possible to verify if the system template changes from the assigned provisioning template are pushed to FortiGate2.
FortiGate# show system dns # config system central-management set primary 8.8.8.8 set secondary 8.8.4.4 end |
