Description

This article describes how to manage the YouTube keys for the managed FortiGates.

A YouTube API Key is required on the FortiGate to allow it to filter specific YouTube categories within the Video Filter context.

While the rest of the Video Filter configuration follows the common relationship between lists, security profiles, and firewall policies, the YouTube Key is a standalone object in FortiOS, which requires different handling on FortiManager side, to allow it to manage multiple keys on multiple FortiGates within the same ADOM.

Scope

FortiManager v7.4.4 and up, v7.6.2 and up.

Solution

As of FortiManager v7.4.4 and v7.6.2, there is a new per-policy package configuration table created to manage the YouTube keys. For the moment this table is only accessible via the Policy Package level CLI configurations (see also Note1 below):

The YouTube keys configured in this Policy Package table are pushed to all FortiGates defined in the Installation Targets of the respective Policy Package.

If the YouTube keys are configured on the FortiGate before adding it in FortiManager, they are unconditionally imported during the Import Policy Package:

Note1:

If the CLI Configurations is not available, navigate to Tools -> Feature Visibility, and enable 'CLI Configurations' under the Policy section:
