Technical Tip: How to Download FortiGate Config Backup from FortiManager

Description	This article describes how to download the latest FortiGate configuration file from FortiManager, which can be used to restore the device when necessary.
Scope	FortiManager.
Solution	View and Download the Full Configuration file under Device Manager -> Device and Groups -> Managed FortiGate and select Device. It will load a Summary page on the right side, scroll down to the Revision section, and select the View Full Config icon next to the Device Configuration DB option. A new window will open. Review the configuration as needed, and then click the Download button. It will download the configuration in Text file format (.txt). Rename the downloaded file extension from .txt to .conf, which can then be used to restore the FortiGate configurations.
