Technical Tip: FortiManager license count for FortiGate VDOM

Description	This article describes how the FortiManager license count works for FortiGate with VDOM enabled.
Scope	FortiManager.
Solution	FortiManager licenses count only to the Traffic-type VDOM. Admin-type VDOMs are excluded from the license count. Example: In FortiGate: 4 different VDOMs have been configured: 1 VDOM as Admin-type VDOM, and 3 VDOMs as Traffic-type VDOMs. In FortiManager: Run the following CLI command: diagnose dvm device list The result will show that currently FortiManager is managing 4 devices/VDOMs, but the license only counts as 3 devices/VDOMs.
