| Description |
This article describes FortiManager behavior when automatically importing all VDOM options is chosen when importing configuration of FortiGate with multiple VDOMs. |
| Scope |
FortiManager. |
| Solution |
When performing import configuration on FortiGate with multiple VDOMs, FortiManager will prompt import options such as the following:
If the 'Automatically import all VDOMs' option is chosen, the steps will be skipped, not allowing the user to choose 'per device' or 'per platform' mapping.
The name of the policy package will be the default value: '<FortiGate Name>_<VDOM Name>'.
When the policy package already exists in the FortiManager and another import is performed, normally, FortiManager will provide an option to 'Overwrite' the existing Policy Package with the same name.
However, if the /Automatically import all VDOMs' option is chosen, the steps are skipped, and instead, a new Policy Package is created with the name '<FortiGate Name>_<VDOM Name>_1'.
