Description

This article describes FortiManager's high availability (HA) configuration using manual mode with more than 2 units.

Scope FortiManager.
Solution

Consider the following topology:

FortiManager-A is the designated Primary unit, and FortiManager-B and FortiManager-C will be the backup units.

Configuration on Primary unit:

Configuration on backup units:

Note: On Primary unit configuration, both backup nodes IP/Serial numbers are specified, but on backup nodes only the Primary unit IP/Serial number is specified. Backup units are not configured with the other backup unit details.

 

HA Status on Primary:

Both backup units are visible.

HA Status on Backup: 

Only the Primary unit is visible.
