This article describes DNS server Override for DHCP Interface.

Solution

Inorder to override a DNS server on FortiGate interface running DHCP ,it is possible to do this from CLI configuration options available in FortiManager.

Make sure the CLI configuration is turned on from tools and enable more option through Display options.

After that go to System -> Interface -> port -no -> DNS-server-override to Turn ON and OFF.

It is possible to confirm the configuration installation on FortiGates with install preview:
