Solution |
The sender domain check in Session Profile will check if the sender domain name exists in MX or A record. Below are the examples of logs when the sender domain check failed:
If the email is sent from a trusted sender, run the below command in FortiMail to troubleshoot the issue:
execute nslookup name <sender_domain> type a
If FortiMail cannot resolve the sender domain name, check the DNS setting. The sender domain check will fail if FortiMail is not able to resolve the A or MX record for the sender domain. Below are examples of how FortiMail can resolve A or MX records for the sender domain:
