| Solution |
When sending inbound/outbound email to FortiMail, it shows the classifier as 'Session Limit' and disposition as 'Delay' in FortiMail History Log.
Check on the Cross-Search Log is showing error 'reject=451 4.7.0 Too Many messages.' as per the below example.
This issue is due to the client IP exceeding the maximum allowed message in 30 minutes. To check on the settings, verify what the IP Policy matches with the email received by FortiMail. As per the example below, the IP Policy matches with ID 1.
Go to IP Policy ID 1 and check what the Session Profile is applied to for that policy.
Edit the specific Session Profile and check on the 'Connection Setting' for the 'Restrict the number of messages per client per 30 minutes to'. Increase the value if it is necessary to have the Client IP to send more messages per 30 minutes. 0 means no limit.
