Description

This article describes how to use the FortiMail DLP to detect credit card numbers in email body.

Scope

FortiMail.

Solution

To enable the DLP feature in FortiMail, run the below command:

config system global

set data-loss-prevention enable

end

Below are the steps on how to configure the DLP to catch email with the Credit Card number:

Under Data Loss Prevention -> Rule & Profile -> Rule, select 'Create new rule' and add new condition as below

Create a new DLP profile, under Data Loss Prevention -> Rule & Profile -> Profile, select 'Create new', add the scan rule configured previously, and configure the desired action for this DLP.

Add the DLP profile to the Recipient Policy:
