Technical Tip: How to get backup configuration, download trace log and email logs from FortiMail

Description

This article describes how to get backup configuration, download a trace log, and search and collect the detailed email logs from FortiMail.

Scope

FortiMail.

Solution

1. To get a backup configuration file, go to System -> Maintenance -> Configuration.

2. To download the trace log, go to System -> Utility -> Trace Log.

3. To search for and find history logs, go to Monitor -> Log -> History -> Search (it can be searched by Session ID, From, To…).

Select the Download button to download history logs.

4. To get detailed session logs, select the Session ID from the previous steps. It will open a new cross-search result tab.
