Technical Tip: How to enable Web release and Email release for quarantine email in FortiMail

Description

This article describes how to configure a Web release and Email release for a quarantine email in FortiMail.

Scope

FortiMail.

Solution

1. Go to Profile -> Resource -> Create new.
   
2. In the profile, enable 'Web release' and 'Email release'.

3. Go to Policy -> Recipient Policy -> Inbound -> Create new and apply the resource profile created in step 1.

4. Recipient policies will be evaluated top-down (including system policies), by recipient fields to apply the resource profile settings. To apply the resource profile to a specific user/user group, create a recipient policy that matches this group and place this policy above any wildcard policy (@) to make sure the web/email setting is applied to the right users (policy #2 above policy #1):

Note: If the email matches the system policy, no other (domain) policies will be checked.

5. From the Quarantine Summary email, will be displayed the Web Actions and Email Actions to release or delete the concerned emails:
