Description

This article describes how to change the reject message for spam email in FortiMail.

Scope

FortiMail v6.4.x, v7.2.x, v7.4.x, v7.6.x.

Solution
  1. Make sure the default action of the antispam profile is 'Reject'.

  1. Below is the default 'Reject' message for spam emails in FortiMail:' 554 5.7.1 This email from IP 10.47.2.153 has been rejected. The email message was detected as spam.'
  2. Go to System -> Customization -> Custom Message -> Reject -> Spam message to modify the message.

  1. Some changes have been processed to the message like below.

  1. The FortiMail is now using the new reject message for spam email.
