FortiMail is configured by default to send the email report with the 'from address' as 'postmaster@localdomainname'.

Solution
In this example the local domain on the FortiMail is dom1b.com.
When a report is generated it will be delivered to notification email address with a 'from address' of 'postmaster@dom1b.com'.
The 'from address' can be modified to use 'fortimail_report@dom1b.com' by making changes to the 'Email history report template' as shown below.
In GUI, go to System > Customization > Custom Email Template > To edit a template, double-click it or select it and click Edit.
Select 'email history report'.
Once these changes are applied the generated report will now be delivered with from 'fortimail_report@dom1b.com'.
