Description
By default, FortiMail has content profiles for the following file extensions *.bat, *.com, *.dll, *.exe, *.scr, *.vb? and *.pif

This article explains how zip files or files with other extensions can be used.

Solution
A zip file extension can be added to a content profile as follows:

1.) Go to Profile > Content
2.) Select File Filter tab
3.) Click on New...
4.) Select the domain to which this filter is to be applied (o -System- for all domains)
5.) In the field Name set the filter name, for example, Zip Files (as a suggestion)
6.) Go to File Extension, and in the column Predefined select *.zip
7.) Click in the -> bottom to set as Selected
8.) Save by clicking on Create

The zip extension (or other) can now be evaluated by FortiMail.
