Description	This article describes how to resolve the 'Unable to load VPN map from server' error by ensuring FortiGuard connectivity.
Scope	FortiGate v7.0.11 and above, v7.2.1 and above.
Solution	When selecting 'VPN Location Map', sometimes the GUI may not load and will instead raise the error 'Unable to load VPN map from the server'. For example: This could be due to FortiGuard connectivity issue. FortiGuard helps to load VPN Map. As such, make sure FortiGuard is being connected. Solution: FortiGuard connectivity in the License Information widget can be verified under System -> Dashboard -> Status. When there is connection between FortiGate and FortiGuard, a green check mark appears for available FortiGuard services. If there is no connection to FortiGuard, refer to Troubleshooting Tip: Unable to connect to FortiGuard servers Once FortiGuard is connected, verify by selecting VPN Location Map.
